Growth of Angel Groups

Angel investor groups are aggregations of high net worth individuals who provide seed and early stage capital to start-ups. About 265 angel investment groups exist in the US and Canada, an increase of 67 percent since 1999, according to the Angel Capital Association. In 2006, angel investors provided about $500 million in early stage capital.
